FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Fortifyze?

Fortifyze is a DPDPA compliance and data-protection platform — a proprietary product of Trufe. It discovers personal data across your systems and endpoints, automates consent and data-subject rights, supports DPIAs and records of processing, and keeps you audit-ready.

Which data sources can Fortifyze scan?

Databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), cloud storage (S3, Azure Blob, GCS), mailboxes (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, IMAP), cloud drives (OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box), and laptops/servers via on-device endpoint agents.

Does my raw personal data have to leave my systems?

No. Fortifyze supports per-source exposure levels — name-only, masked, or full. With masking at the source, only the category and location of personal data are surfaced; raw values needn't be centralised. Revealing raw evidence is privileged and audited.

Is Fortifyze specific to India's DPDPA?

Yes. Fortifyze is built natively around the Digital Personal Data Protection Act — consent, notice, data-principal rights, breach reporting and records — rather than being a GDPR tool retrofitted for India.

How is my data protected?

Encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege read-only access to connected sources, tenant isolation enforced server-side, role-based access control, and audit logging of privileged actions. See our Security page for detail.
